Woman’s Club: March Update
The Woman’s Club of Orange County held its monthly meeting Thursday, March 9, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with guest speaker John Seymour.
Seymour is a local pharmacist who owns three independent drug stores— one each in Orange, Gordonsville and Elkton. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College and Virginia Commonwealth School of Pharmacy and has 40 years of pharmacy experience.
In addition, Seymour has served on state and national committees and with local organizations dealing with a wide range of issues. During the presentation, he gave us insight into pharmaceutical companies and the measures those companies employ to fill prescriptions. In his pharmacies, Seymour focuses on the patient and provides answers and information that will help customers.
Winners of the club’s quilt raffle were also announced during the March meeting. They are as follows: first place, Dolores McDaniel; second place, Shirley Stone; and third place, Kim O’Donnell.
New members are always welcome. Each meeting features a guest speaker from Orange County, followed by a short business meeting and refreshments. Those interested in becoming a member can contact Dorothy Cluff at cluffd@verizon.net for more information.
